Screen Protectors Have Quietly Gotten Good. Here's What Changed.

This makes them useful on trains, planes, in offices, and anywhere sensitive information may be visible to people nearby.

Where the Market Is Heading

First, phone displays continue to become larger, thinner, and closer to the edges of the device. That places more glass in exposed areas and increases the importance of reinforced edges, full-screen adhesion, and precise device-specific cutting.

Second, buyers are looking beyond protection. Demand is shifting toward protectors that combine drop resistance with:
